Construction Support LMG understands that in an increasingly competitive construction marketplace, the provision of streamlined and effective IT infrastructure can be a real differentiator when it comes to building and fit-out packages alike. Whilst the value of the infrastructure can be a small percentage of an overall contract, clients tend to place paramount importance on the capability of IT and Communications systems to support their needs both now and into the future. With this at the forefront of our minds, our dedicated Projects division has developed a tailored approach to support our building partners all the way from tender submission through to project fulfilment. This approach features: ·Dedicated in-house technical expertise (including RCDD accredited designers) ·Experienced personnel conversant with project delivery in a construction environment ·A unique understanding of how efficiencies can be gained through the intelligent deployment of IT infrastructure. The Fourth Utility IT systems have now become so important to clients that they are quite rightly perceived as the ‘fourth utility’ within both new and refurbished building projects. Smart contractors are buying into the benefits of a converged infrastructure where BMS, AV, Telephony, Fire and Security systems can all be delivered as part of a single package. This means that far less cable is required within a building as traditionally distinct systems are converged as one. From a contractor’s perspective this means economies of scale and fewer sub-contractors to manage; from a client’s perspective it means the use of the very latest technology and a much simpler building management regime once the building goes live. LMG’s experts can support your teams in understanding where this can be achieved and how best to integrate the multiple technologies that are IP compatible. Cabling Often viewed as a ‘black art’, LMG’s cabling experience can bring benefit to your contract teams, in understanding the myriad of standards and regulations that are continually being updated and revised. Just as importantly, we can help you to support the customer in making informed judgements on the choice of cable dependent upon their specific needs: the number of applications running across the network and any plans for future expansion are key questions to ask before deployment. With premier level accreditations in place across the all of the major manufacturers, LMG are uniquely positioned to offer vendor agnostic advice on a solution that meets the clients specific needs. Health, Safety and the Environment LMG also understands the importance of Health and Safety considerations when operating within the construction sector, and places on paramount importance on the adherence to our ISO9001 processes and procedures. We have actively grown our projects division to include industry expert project leaders whom understand the expectations required within today’s market. This means that with an LMG Project Team, you can be assured that tailored Risk Assessments and Method Statements are provided up front, and that ongoing adherence to the site safety regulations is continually monitored via regular site safety briefings, tool box talks, and spot check audits by our own QHSE manager. We are also aware that environmental considerations are higher priority than ever before, which is why we are currently going through the process to achieve ISO14001 accreditation, as well as working with our own suppliers to look at ways in which we can minimise waste and introduce innovations within the supply chain to ensure that deliveries are managed as efficiently as possible.
